Harlequin Great Dane
"Hounds of Love" was originally intended to be a drawing of the three dogs that Nikki and her business partner have between their two families.
Nikki drew Angel, the harlequin Great Dane first; and she ended up being the drawing. She is a relentless smoocher and just loves being in the office. She lies down on the floor and grunts for attention, making them walk around her as they pack up orders.
The song "Hounds of Love" by Kate Bush talks about boundless love, which the gorgeous Angel has in spades. It also has lyrics that refer to finding a fox, caught by dogs. I feel that this was a nice link between the fox and hare drawings.
The Great Dane is a very gentle and loving animal that is great around children. They are known for seeking affection, and for sitting on and leaning against their owners as "the worlds biggest lapdog".
